Autumn Newsletter 2019 (Ashington)

Dear Parent’s and Carers,

Welcome to the Autumn term newsletter, I would like to say a big thankyou to all the staff and parents for your continuing to support the nursery.

Outdoor clothing.

As Autumn has arrived please may I remind all parents to provide a named coat and named hats, gloves and scarves into their child’s bag.

Next steps.

Please be aware that your children’s next steps are currently being completed, we will be now updating them termly. The team will be extending on your children’s next steps where necessary to make sure that the learning is embedded.

As I am sure that you are aware sadly, we said goodbye to Yvonne Harper our Preschool room lead in August, however Connor Fletcher has been promoted to room lead with Daisy Carvey supporting as holiday club lead.

Bethany Charlwood our shooting stars practitioner, will be leaving us to take on a teaching assistant role at a local school, she will be sadly missed, however we welcome Joshua Brown to the team  he will be based in Shooting stars with Debbie and will be supporting throughout the nursery.

I hope you will join me in wishing those staff that have bid us farewell every future success and for those that have been promoted or that have just started with us a very big welcome and a huge congratulations.

We have several staff members completing qualifications this term, Daisy will be completing her SEND coordinator qualification from September and will be taking on the Nursery SEND lead supported by myself and Hannah and Myself and Hannah will be completing our Level 5 Senior Practitioner qualification.

At Ashington Children’s Nursery we have a parent’s forum, for you to be able to have your say and to be apart of the nursery community.

We currently have 2 parent representatives who are responsible for feeding back any minutes from our termly  meetings

If you would like to join the parent  forum or for more information please email the office at ashingtonnursery@btinternet.com.
