Autumn Newsletter 2019 (Lancing)
You may well have met her by now, but Jess has returned to work for us and is based in the baby room 😊 It’s great having her back so please all help in making her feel welcome by saying hello!
We have 4 apprentices at nursery – Lia in the Caterpillar Room, Sophia and Skye in the Butterfly Room and Courtney in the Bumblebee Room. The girls will all be moving around the nursery to gain experience in each age group.
Unfortunately, Abbie is leaving the nursery as manager on Thursday 7th November. She will miss the children, families and staff lots but feels ready for a new challenge! We have recruited a new manager called Tracy who will be starting on 11th November. Please all help her feel welcome to our nursery!
If you haven’t signed up already, we do all observations and assessments online now and you can see these through an app called Parent Zone. Just download the app and someone will send you login details. Please feel free to add your own pictures of what your child has done at home – this will be a great chance for us to talk to them about what they have got up to!
Please remember to pack weather appropriate clothing for your child, including welly boots, waterproof coat and possibly trousers! Also, if you could please name all items that your child owns as we have many duplicates!
Please make sure you are checking through the lost property box as at the end of each month it will be taken to the charity shop, thank you!
If your child has a packed lunch please make sure you are providing a healthy option in there, such as a piece of fruit or vegetables and make sure there are NO nuts.
If your child won’t be coming in for whatever reason, whether they be unwell, have a day at home or holiday please make sure you are letting the nursery know. Either email or alert a member of staff, thank you.
One last reminder, please make sure you collect your children on time. We normally ask that parents arrive a few minutes before their child’s session ends to get a full hand over but bear in mind that pick-up times can be busy so you might have to wait a minute for your handover.
If you would like to book any extra sessions or change your child’s sessions, please e-mail this to the nursery.
With regards to Christmas, please could you let the nursery know what sessions your child will be attending by the end of November so that we can let our staff have some time off too. No extra sessions will be booked if requested after the end of November. Thank you 😊
