School Leavers Celebration Picnic
Thursday 18th July. Please put this in your diary as soon as possible as it’s a lovely way to celebrate your child’s time at nursery!
A big thank you to all our lovely parents who have donated toys recently. Everything is very much appreciated!
New member of staff
Rob will be joining us full time from February. Some of you may already have met him as he has been splitting his time between us and his current nursery, also part of the A Step Ahead Group. Rob is an experienced Level 3 Practitioner and is proving very popular with the children! He will be key person to a small group of children and therefore a few children will be changing key groups. We will speak to these parents during the next few weeks but I’m sure this will not cause any disruption.
Visits to Residential Home
Our recent visit to the local Residential Home, Somerville Court has proved so popular they have asked if we would make it a regular event. I think this would be very beneficial to the children (as well as the old folk!) Our aim is to actively encourage contact across the generations , bringing joy to the lives of the residents and allowing the children to learn so very much from the elderly. More to follow shortly, but any unwanted chocolates, sweets or biscuits (unopened) you may have been given at Christmas will be gratefully received so we can visit next time with a small ‘Treat Box’!
Policies and Procedures
The Policy and Procedure Manual has undergone its annual review and has been updated accordingly. Copies have been emailed to all parents and there is a hard copy at nursery to view. Everyone is welcome to comment on this document and if you have any suggestions about key items, words or new policies please email the nursery or speak in person to myself or Sarah. The nursery policies and procedures sit alongside our employee handbook which is available on request.
Please could I remind parents of children with 30 hour (22) funding to renew their codes as soon as prompted by HMRC and then let me know. Thank you.
Please tell friends and family about us if you are happy with the service we provide, if not please tell us!!
And last of all, please complete the attached questionnaire to ensure I can continue to move the nursery forward for the benefit of all. Many thanks.
