Summer Newsletter 2019 (Shoreham)

Dear Parents and Carers,

We would like you to join us in welcoming back Ally. Ally is now our Senior Room Leader working in Butterfly Room (0-2)
Claire will be concentrating on her role as Deputy Manager and will be supporting in the Bumblebee Room (2-3)

From September please can we ask every child in bumblebee and ladybird room to bring in a named drinks bottle (preferably to stay at nursery) for them to have water only in for them to drink throughout the day. Although we offer cups of water the children tend to drink more if its from their own bottle, so we would like to encourage this. We will still offer milk at snack times.

To all those children going to school in September, we are having a superhero graduation party on SATURDAY 20th JULY 10:00-12:00. Please can you let Terri know if you are able to make it.
We invite you to come dressed as your favourite superhero. Please can we limit this to 2 adults per child and a maximum of 2 siblings.

• 19th July – Last day for any term time only children.
• 20th July – Graduation Party 10-12
• 30th August – Last day for children going to school
• 2nd September- New Term begins

We have made some changes to the information we will be putting on Parent zone for the children in Bumblebee Room. The staff will be able to give you all the information regarding nappies, sleep, food, should you need it, when they hand over to you at the end of your child’s session.

Please could you bring in a bag of named spare clothes for your child to use at Nursery. Its hard for us to keep track of everyone’s clothes so naming everything is really important.
We would be grateful if you could encourage your child to leave their home toys at home. We find that it is difficult for the children to understand that others would like to play with their toys so it is causes less upset for them if they are safely at home.
As the weather is getting warmer it is important that the children have weather appropriate clothing e:g sunhats and sun cream. We do provide sun cream for the children but it would be a great help if you could apply sun cream to your child before their session.
If your child has sickness or diarrhoea it is our policy that we would ask you to keep them at home for 48 hours after the last bout.
